Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 6402 North Wayside at about 10:35 p.m. last Friday (June 29).
The victim, LaMonte Dewayne Bush, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Nguyen and W. Huff reported:
Mr. Bush was standing in the parking lot of his business at the above address and speaking with relatives sitting inside a parked vehicle. As he was engaged in conversation, a suspect walked up, shot Bush and then fled on foot. A possible suspect was located, detained and questioned before being charged in an unrelated incident. The shooting remains under investigation with no charges filed at this time.
