Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 6320 Windswept about midnight on Sunday (March 11).
The victim, believed in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Elder and G. Sullivan reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victim lying in an apartment complex parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Witnesses reported the victim was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle when two males approached. One suspect approached the victim on the passenger side, ordered him out of the car and then shot him as he exited.
Both suspects, described only as Hispanic males, then fled in the scene in an older model black pickup truck.
