| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6311 Beverly HIll Street about 6:55 p.m. on Sunday (September 20).
The identity of the victim, 46, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Pak and C. Flora reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in front of the main office at an apartment complex at the above address. Upon arrival, officers met Houston Fire Department paramedics, who had already pronounced the victim deceased. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
Further investigation determined the victim met with an unknown suspect, who arrived in a newer model, dark-colored Nissan Altima. The victim and the suspect got into an altercation, which led to the victim being shot. The suspect ran to the waiting Altima and fled the scene.
