Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men and a woman, and the wounding of another woman at 6300 Ranchester Drive about 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday (March 10).
The identities of the deceased victims – a male, 21, a female, 20, and a male, approximately 40 years of age – are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The fourth victim, a female, 18, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detective Sergeant K. Meek and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address after witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area. Officers located two men and a woman near a vehicle in the parking lot. Paramedics pronounced them deceased and transported a fourth shooting victim to a hospital.
One witness stated he and his friends were hanging out by his apartment when a dark, four-door vehicle with multiple suspects inside drove by causing a confrontation. After a few moments, the suspects got out of the vehicle and began shooting at the group. The suspects then fled the scene.
