Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 621 Mayford Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 621 Mayford Street about 1:10 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 24).

The identity of the victim, 54, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan reported:

The victim was at his residence playing billiards with two males known to him.  Numerous gunshots were then heard and two Hispanic males were seen fleeing the scene in a red, four-door Nissan Maxima.

Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived at the home and pronounced the victim deceased.
