Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6200 West Tidwell Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6200 West Tidwell Road about 9:40 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 10).

The identity of the victim, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Hernandez and A. Ferrell reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and observed the male victim in the parking lot.  He had suffered at least one gunshot wound.  Paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

According to witnesses, a male suspect was seen retrieving a gun from his vehicle and then shot at the victim outside an apartment.  The suspect then fled the scene in a black GMC pickup truck.
