Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6010 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road about 3:35 p.m. on Saturday (September 26).
The identity of the victim, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Naughton and L. Patterson reported:
The victim and a witness were inside a parked vehicle near the front of a gas station at the above address. A male suspect parked his vehicle near a gas pump and approached the victim’s vehicle. The suspect pulled the victim from the vehicle and shot him. He then grabbed a bag from the victim, another from the inside of the vehicle and then fled the scene.
The suspect, described only a a black male, was seen in a silver Sport Utility Vehicle.
