Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male and the wounding of two men at 5998 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (January 9).
The identity of the deceased victim, 16, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The two other male victims – in their 20s – were transported to an area hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Dudley and K. Heaverlo reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a bar at the above address. Upon arrival, they found multiple shooting victims at the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victims to area hospitals, where the juvenile victim was pronounced deceased.
Witnesses reported seeing several males involved in an altercation before shots were fired. One suspect was only described as a black male in his 30s to 40s.
