Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 5800 Hollister Street about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 15).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detective J. Escobar reported:
Officers responded to a discharge of firearms call at the above address and were told by a witness that the victim was walking and appeared to have something wrong with him. The witness checked on the male and noticed he had his pants around his ankles and was bleeding. As the witness approached the male, an unknown black male suspect walked up to the male and shot him. The witness ran and was not injured. Paramedics were called and pronounced the male deceased.
