| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5631 Schevers Street about 11:05 p.m. on Wednesday (September 30).
The victim, Bruce Wayne Ferguson, 47, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and learned Mr. Ferguson had been shot and transported by paramedics to the hospital.
According to witnesses, an unknown male suspect drove to the residence and, after getting into a verbal altercation, fired multiple shots at the residence and struck Ferguson. The suspect then fled the scene before police arrived.
The suspect, described only as a black male in his early 40s, was last seen in a white Chevrolet Malibu.
