Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 5600 Richmond Avenue about 11:25 p.m. Wednesday (August 2).
The identity of the male victim, 30, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detectives S. Overstreet and M. Castillo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a bar at the above address and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Further investigation revealed the victim was sitting inside the driver’s seat of a vehicle when an unknown suspect runs up to the vehicle and shoots multiple times into the vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot eastbound on Richmond.
