Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5322 Glenmont about 7:35 p.m. on Saturday (March 2).
The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Barrow and J. Stroble reported:
The victim was initially involved in a verbal dispute with several suspects at an automotive storage lot at 5403 Glenmont. During the argument, a few vehicles arrived at the back of the storage lot. Several suspects armed with guns exited the vehicles.
The disturbance moved across the street to a vacant lot at 5322 Glenmont behind a bar. Witnesses heard several gunshots and saw a suspect running across the street and entering into a white pickup truck. Approximately five vehicles then left the vacant lot. HFD paramedics were called and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
