The fatal shooting of a man at 5039 Reed Road about 8:10 p.m. last Wednesday (November 27) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the male victim, 70, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers C. Arrington and E. Rossow reported:
Officers responded to a shooting at a business at the above address. Witnesses stated the store owner and an employee had a physical altercation with the victim. At some point, a gun was pulled and was accidentally discharged. The victim was struck one time and transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The store owner and employee were questioned and released.
