Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5029 Doolittle Boulevard about 11:05 a.m. on Monday (March 12).
The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives S. Spivey and R. Pemberton reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting in-progress call at the above address and learned the victim and suspect(s) had an altercation at a different location a few minutes earlier. The victim was sitting in his vehicle when a green truck or Chevrolet Suburban pulled up alongside him. The victim got out of his vehicle, had a brief conversation with a male and was then shot by one or more persons inside the truck or Suburban. The truck fled the scene. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, the suspects are described only as black males.
