| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 500 North Sam Houston Parkway West service road (Beltway 8) about 12:15 a.m. today (December 21).
The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 40s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. McDonald and J. Escobar reported:
HPD officers responded to a crash at the above address and found a red Nissan involved in a single vehicle crash and the male driver had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated a black SUV was traveling next to the victim’s vehicle prior to the crash.
