Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4922 Lockwood Drive about 5:25 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 3).
The identity of the victim, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Herrera and A. Finlay reported: Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in a business parking lot at the above address and found the male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased. Detectives learned the suspect was in an older model, maroon Ford Expedition when he fired multiple times, striking the victim standing in the parking lot. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. The vehicle was later recovered at a nearby gas station. At this time, the suspect is described only as a black male.
