Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4920 Magnolia Cove Drive about 9:05 p.m. on Wednesday (July 20).
The identity of the victim, 29, is is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective K. Amri reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address, and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a walkway between two apartment buildings. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
Investigators were advised the victim was having an argument with an unidentified suspect. It escalated into a physical fight and the suspect produced a gun and shot the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.
