Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another that occurred at 4902 Laura Koppe Road about 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday (July 29).
The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Castillo, M. Perez and R. Waterwall reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim lying in the parking lot of the business. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. A second male who had been sitting in a vehicle when the shooting occurred was shot and transported via private vehicle to the hospital in stable condition.
Witnesses stated they saw a group of unknown males shooting in the area and then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
