Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4801 Allendale Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 4801 Allendale Road about 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 27).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The second male remains in an area hospital in an unknown condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives Sgt. N. Lazo and L.W. Osborn reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found two males with apparent gunshot wounds.  Paramedics pronounced one male deceased on the scene and the other was transported to a nearby hospital. 

Witnesses told officers the two men were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated into the shooting and believe no other parties were involved. 

This case is still under investigation.
