Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4700 Wenda Street about 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 21).
The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and Detective C. LaFour reported: Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and located the victim unresponsive in the parking lot. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the man to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. A witness reported seeing a white Chevrolet Impala with dark tinted windows and a chrome spotlight slowly drive by the victim and a group of males in the parking lot. One of the individuals in the vehicle then fired shots at the males, striking the victim.
