Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4500 Pershing Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 4500 Pershing Street about 9:45 p.m. on Monday (February 3).

The identity of the victim, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at 7401 Cullen Boulevard and found an unresponsive male with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a gas station.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation and evidence from the scene determined the male had been shot by an unknown suspect in the 4500 block of Pershing Street

The suspect is described only as a black male, 25 to 30 years of age, with a slim build and wearing a puffer jacket, black pants and red shoes.  He was last seen in a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck with Minnesota license plates LBD-112.
