Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4413 Terry Street

The fatal shooting of a man at 4413 Terry Street about 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday (May 31) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the deceased male, in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The male shooter, 51, was not injured.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and K. Amri reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found a male had been shot multiple times.  Paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

The shooter told police the male, a family member, had previously made multiple threats to his life and did so that day.  The male arrived at the shooter’s location and stated he was going to kill him.  Fearing for his life, the shooter grabbed a gun and shot his family member.

After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, this case will be presented to a grand jury for review.
