Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4210 Ennis Street

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman and the apparent suicide of a man at 4210 Ennis Street about 8:55 p.m. on Monday (March 25).

The identity of the deceased male suspect, 44, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The female victim, 42, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Brooks and C. Davidson reported:

The victim was on the phone with family members as she was having a domestic dispute with the suspect inside a townhome at the above address.  During the phone call, the family members then heard multiple gunshots.  HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim with a gunshot wound and a male unresponsive with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Paramedics pronounced the male deceased.  The woman was transported to the hospital.  The couple’s two-year-old daughter was also in the residence, but was unharmed.

According to a witness, the couple had recently moved into the townhome.  The witness reported hearing the couple arguing just prior to the sound of gunshots.
