Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 4200 Belle Park Drive about 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday (July 16).
The identity of the victim, 15, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants W. Dunn, C. Ponder and Detective L. Brooks reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a hospital check call at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital regarding the arrival of a juvenile male with gunshot wounds. Doctors later pronounced him deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined the victim was shot in the 4200 block of Belle Park Drive and transported by private vehicle to the hospital. The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, 15 to 17 years of age.
Officers received information of another shooting scene in the 6000 block of Rogerdale Drive, where a second male, 15, was found with a gunshot wound(s). Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition.
At this time, it is believed both incidents are related and the investigations are continuing.
