Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3901 Old Spanish Trail

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 3901 Old Spanish Trail about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 23).

The identity of the victim, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective A. Ferrell reported:

The victim and a male, 27, were seated in the driver’s seat of her vehicle parked in front of the convenience store at the above address.  An unknown male suspect with a mask and a dark hoodie walked up from behind the vehicle to the driver’s door and fired multiple shots into the victim’s window. 

The suspect then ran to the 5900 block of Scottcrest Drive, where he was picked up by another suspect(s) driving a red or maroon, four-door sedan missing its back bumper.

Paramedics were called and pronounced the woman deceased at the scene.  Her male passenger sustained cuts from shattered glass.

The suspect is described only as a tall male with a slim build.  He was wearing dark pants and white shoes.
