Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 3719 Elgin Street about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday (December 12).
The identity of the male, believed to be in his 20s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and were advised by security officers they heard multiple gunshots in the area. Officers located a male with multiple gunshot wounds inside an elevator. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
Two unknown males, believed to be in their late teens to early 20s, were seen fleeing from the elevators and leaving the complex.
At this time, it has not been determined if the deceased male was a victim or a suspect in a possible robbery.
