Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 3600 Swingle Road about 4 a.m. on Saturday (May 25).
The identity of the victim, 36, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Miller, K. Daignault and C. Duncan and Detective M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim lying in the street with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
A witness in the area stated he heard a loud noise and saw unknown vehicles driving away. Investigators later determined the victim got into a physical altercation with an unknown male at a nearby convenience store.
