Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 3528 Southmore Boulevard about 11:10 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 15).
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Miyako and Detective C. Bowling reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a motel at the above address and found the victim unresponsive on the second floor balcony. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Further investigation revealed the victim met with a suspect, described only as a black male, and they began fighting. During the fight, the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim. The suspect then fled the scene is an unknown direction.
