| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a female that occurred at 3400 Washington Avenue about 12:15 a.m. on Monday (January 17).
The identity of the female victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Hekimian and Detectives W. Elliott, N. Arellano and V. Nguyen reported:
HPD officers responded to a report of a person shot who had been transported to a Houston Fire Department station at the above address. Upon arrival, officers were told the victim had left a bar with her boyfriend and began arguing with him. As she argued with her boyfriend, her boyfriend reported hearing a gunshot and then saw that the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the head. The male stated he was driving past a fire station when the shooting occurred and he pulled into the fire station to get help.
The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.
