Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3400 Ocee Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 3400 Ocee Street about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday (April 27).

The identity of the deceased male, 31, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Officer E. Camacho reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in progress in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address and found the male lying next to a white Toyota Camry. The male had been shot more than one time and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

As officers were investigating the shooting they were approached by a male who stated he was the shooter and explained he and the deceased male were arguing over parking. Officers retrieved the firearm and took the male’s statement regarding the shooting.

After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the male was released and HPD investigators will continue their investigation.
