| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3200 Simmons Street about 12:35 a.m. on Saturday (October 22).
The identity of the victim, in his 20s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detective L. Patterson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
A witness stated a newer model white SUV fled the area at a high rate of speed northbound on Burkett.
At this time, there is no known suspect description.
