| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 318 Stafford Street about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday (August 22).
The identity of the deceased man, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective R. Waterwall reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting in the parking lot of a business at the above address and found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound. HFD paramedics pronounced the man deceased.
At this time, investigators believe the motive in the shooting is narcotics related.
