Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the fatal shooting of a man found at 2911 Sage Road about 12:30 a.m. today (July 9).
The identity of the victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective G. Zavala reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a hotel at the above address and found a male unresponsive inside a room. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics were called and pronounced him deceased.
The circumstances of the shooting are unknown. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the manner and cause of death.
