Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 2091 Westridge Street about 12:55 a.m. on Saturday (May 13).
The identity of the male victim, 25, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Stringer and R. Waterwall reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in a parking lot at the above address. The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics where he was pronounced deceased.
Witnesses stated the victim and suspect, described only as a Hispanic or black male, had a physical altercation which led to the suspect shooting the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
