Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 238 East Crosstimbers Street about 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday (June 16).
The victim, Robert Witherspoon, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer M. Condon and Officer K. Fregia reported:
Officers responding to the above address found Mr. Witherspoon deceased from a possible gunshot wound.
Investigators learned Witherspoon walked from a nearby bus stop to the above address. It is believed Witherspoon may have been in an altercation or accident on or near Crosstimbers before arriving at the bus stop.
At this time there is no known suspect or motive in this case.
