Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2130 State Highway 6 South about 9 p.m. on Tuesday (March 15)
The victim, Donyea Sirls, 31, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a motel at the above address. Upon arrival, officers found Mr. Sirls suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the breezeway between motel rooms. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.
Witnesses told investigators that Sirls may have been involved in a dispute with the suspect before the shooting.
At this time, there is no known suspect(s) description or motive in the incident.
