Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 200 Stiles Street about 6:35 p.m. on Monday (April 13).
The identity of the victim, 23, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers P. Pak, C. Flora, L. Lange and C. Lamont reported:
Officers responded to multiple reports of shooting scenes close to one another. The primary scene was determined to be the above address where multiple bullet shell casings were discovered in the street and several persons were detained for questioning.
The victim and an uninjured female were found at 315 Lockwood Drive, where paramedics pronounced the victim deceased. It was determined the victim and the female were involved in the shooting on Stiles Street.
Further investigation determined there had also been a physical altercation at 5104 Harrisburg Boulevard between multiple witnesses and suspects prior to the shooting at Stiles.
Multiple witnesses were interviewed and investigators received conflicting accounts of what occurred. No suspects are in custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
