| The fatal shooting of a male at 1929 Larchmont Road about 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday (June 23) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and Detective M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found a male lying in the driveway and a female inside the residence. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased from a gunshot wound.
Further investigation determined the male and female got into a physical altercation inside the residence after the female stated she asked the male to leave. The male left the residence, returned and threw the female to the ground. As the male proceeded to leave, he returned toward the female. At that time, the female stated she retrieved her firearm and shot the male.
