Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1809 Saint Elmo Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 1809 Saint Elmo Street about 8:50 a.m. on Sunday (September 10).

The identity of the victim, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective D. Higgs reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call in a vacant lot at the above address and found the victim, unresponsive in his vehicle.  He had suffered a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

A 2000s gray Mercury Grand Marquis, with a black vinyl roof over the backseat, was seen leaving the crime scene on Saturday (September 9).

At this time, there is no known suspect description.
