The fatal shooting of a man at 17100 Tomball Parkway (State Highway 249) service road about 3 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 27) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The female shooter was not injured.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Collier and R. Waterwall reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a parking lot at the above address and learned a man was shot by a woman while the two were traveling in a vehicle. The male passenger and his wife (driver) had a domestic altercation inside the vehicle that escalated and the female then shot the male one time. Paramedics transported the male to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The female was interviewed and released pending further investigation.
Detectives consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and were advised the shooting would be referred to a grand jury.
