Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 1701 Johanna Drive about 8 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 5).
The identity of the deceased male, 18, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. Patterson and Officers H. Martinez and S. Chettry reported:
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at the above address and upon arrival found multiple shell casings throughout the apartment complex parking lot. Further investigation revealed that 9-1-1 dispatchers had received calls that two persons had been transported to area hospitals via private vehicles.
One of the persons had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second person had also suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds. Witnesses stated a physical altercation had occurred between the two persons, which turned into a shooting.
The investigation is continuing.
