Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 16425 Imperial Valley Drive about 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday (June 3).
The identity of the deceased male, 30, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. LaFour and Detective M. Castillo reported:
Officers responded to a shooting at a nearby address at 400 North Sam Houston Parkway East and did not locate any victim or suspects despite canvassing nearby businesses. A short time later, officers received a call at a nearby apartment complex of a male who had been shot multiple times. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation determined the victim had been involved in a verbal argument at a restaurant near the above address and had left the location. The victim was then confronted by a male suspect in the parking lot of the above address and was shot. The unknown suspect then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
