The fatal shooting of a man at 16415 El Camino Real about 11:45 p.m. last Friday (May 19) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The victim, 27, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Jackson and J. Dominguez reported:
The victim was with several friends inside his apartment at the above address when several unknown males arrived and attempted to rob them. During the robbery, the victim fled the apartment. Afterward, the victim returned to his apartment where one of his friends inside mistook him for a returning robber. The friend shot the victim through a window.
