Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 155 Georgia Street that occurred about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday (April 17).
The identity of the victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting at the above address and observed the unresponsive victim in the street. The victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased.
A witness reported the victim was walking eastbound when a tan colored sedan pulled up next to him. A male exited the vehicle and began firing shots at the victim. The suspect then got into the sedan and fled the scene. The suspect is described only as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age.
