Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 15000 Park Row Drive about 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday (July 5).
The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Vinogradov and D. Crowder reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address and found the male suffering from a gunshot wound. Witnesses told investigators the male may have been trying to break into or steal a vehicle when he was shot by an unknown male. Someone with the male tried to drag him from the location, but was unsuccessful. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The unknown shooting suspect was seen taking a pistol from the victim before fleeing the scene.
