The fatal shooting of a robbery suspectat 14010 South Post Oak Boulevard that occurred about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday (November 8) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the suspect is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter, 29, suffered injuries to his arms and head.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. McDonald and J. Escobar reported:
A male suspect, armed with a metal pipe and gun, forced his way into a business owner’s (shooter’s) warehouse and demanded money. The suspect assaulted the business owner with the metal pipe, injuring his arms and head. Fearing for his life, the business owner retrieved a gun and shot the suspect multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the suspect deceased.
Detectives consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, who will present this case to a Harris County grand jury.
