Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 1251 Wilcrest Drive about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday (September 17).
The identity of the deceased male, 20, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex parking lot at the above address and, upon arrival, found Houston Fire Department paramedics transporting the victim to an area hospital in critical condition. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Further investigation indicated the victim’s vehicle had crashed into several other vehicles in the apartment complex parking lot and the victim was found in the in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound. Officers located a gun in the passenger seat. Witnesses stated they observed several males wearing masks and dark clothing running through the complex and heard multiple gunshots. None of the witnesses observed the shooting.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect (s).
