| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12400 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) that occurred about 6:55 p.m. on Thursday (May 13).
The victim is identified as Javier Martinez, 48.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Smith and Officer M. Estep reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and were directed by witnesses to the 6600 block of Hoover Street where Mr. Martinez was found unresponsive. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Martinez deceased.
According to witnesses, Martinez was on his motorcycle at the stop light at the intersection of the Northwest Freeway and Bingle Road when three unknown males, also on motorcycles, pulled up next to him. A witness heard gunshots and saw the males flee northbound on the freeway service road.
The suspects were described only as three males wearing clothing linking them to a motorcycle club.
