The fatal shooting of a man at 12330 Gulf Freeway about 2 a.m. today (Nov. 6) is being referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective A. Dudley reported:
Witnesses stated the male was escorted out of the nightclub at the above address after starting a fight. A short time later, he returned with a gun and pointed it at a security guard. A second security guard shot the male, striking him multiple times. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The male’s friend, who was not involved in the altercation, was also struck by gunfire and taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and advised detectives to refer the investigation to a grand jury.
