| The fatal shooting of a man at 123 Winkler Drive about 4 p.m. on Tuesday (September 13) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 73, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and K. Amri and Officer E. Torres reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found the victim lying on the living room floor with at least one gunshot wound. HFD paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.
The shooter told officers the male, with whom she had a prior dating relationship, came into her house and they got into a physical altercation. Fearing for her safety, the female grabbed a gun and fired it at her ex-boyfriend.
This case was presented to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, who determined it would be presented to a grand jury for review.
